PRESS RELEASE: A total of eight research groups from different research centers and universities, including us among them, participate in the first edition of the Lab to Market (L2M) program, an initiative promoted by the R+D+i Energy for Society Network (XRE4S) with the aim of helping participants to identify technologies that have potential for commercialization.
Doctor Natalia Chamorro from the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group at ICMAB and the Chemistry Department at UAB, defend her PhD thesis entitled “Hybrid approach to obtain high-quality BaMO₃ perovskite nanocrystals for YBa₂Cu₃O7−δ superconducting nanocomposite” on Thursday, 14 January 2021 in an online session. Doctor Juri Banchewski from the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group at ICMAB defended his PhD thesis entitled “Transient Liquid Assisted Growth of YBCO Superconducting Films: Growth Kinetics, Physical Properties and Vortex Pinning” on Thursday, 17 December 2020. Congratulations!
The 33rd International Symposium on Superconductivity (ISS) 2020 conference, organized by AIST Tsukuba (Japan) was held between 1 and 3 December 2020. Several SUMAN researchers from ICMAB participated in the conference with many contributions.
Between October 23 and November 7 the Applied Superconductivity Conference 2020 was hold in virtual mode and a representation of SUMAN researchers has participated.

The XRE4S (R+D+I Energy for Society Network) launched the first call for the Lab-to-Market (L2M) program, the technology scouting program for the members of the network. It consists on the pre-screening on technology assessment, market opportunity and analysis of the intellectual property status and strategy.
