About Us

Superconducting Materials and Functional Nanoengineered Structures

SUMAN department has been active in the field of superconducting materials since the discovery of High Temperature superconductors, more than 20 years ago, it has widely contributed to the field of vortex pinning analysis and materials development for more than 15 years and more recently, since about ten years, it has shifted its interests towards the chemical solution approaches to superconducting thin films and coated conductors, due to its high potential in terms of cost-effectiveness for practical applications

The Ministry of Science and Innovation, will open soon the call for the «2022 Severo Ochoa PhD contracts”. Four positions correspond to the ICMAB-CSIC. ICMAB opening this call to pre-select the best candidates among students of all nationalities offering them the opportunity to carry out their doctoral thesis.The best-ranked candidates will have priority in choosing which ICMAB-CSIC research project would like to join. In our group, there are 3 projects proposed.
