The European Researcher’s Night is back – and with presential activities!

Many events have been possible to see between 22-24 September across Catalunya! On 24th September our PhD students, Adrià and Aiswarya, from our research group have performed the quantum levitation exhibition with superconductors at CosmoCaixa Barcelona.

Last friday, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, in the framework of European Researcher’s Night 2021 edition at the ICMAB stands placed inside CosmoCaixa Barcelona Science Museum, two of our PhD students exhibit our superconducting train during the workshop entitled “Superconducting levitationg properties with the SUMAN (Superconducting materials and large scale nanostructures) group”.

Adrià Pacheco and Aiswarya Kethamkuzhi were in charge to conduct quantum levitation exhibition with superconductors and to explain to all the attendees how it works. They created a great expectation and the workshop was very successful.

Other activities

A part from this workshop, Anna May -ICMAB Communication Officer- participated with two other propositions:

  • The Matheroes virtual escape
  • YouMaker: this is how science is made – new ICMAB project!

An European event

This is a European public event organized by the European Commission within the Marie Sktodowsca-Curie framework of the Horizon 2020 program. It is celebrated in more than 300 cities from 30 European countries at the same time, with the objective of making the innovation and research topics being developed in Europe more approachable to the public.

This project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programs under the project EuNightCat (954506).
