PRESS RELEASE: A total of eight research groups from different research centers and universities, including us among them, participate in the first edition of the Lab to Market (L2M) program, an initiative promoted by the R+D+i Energy for Society Network (XRE4S) with the aim of helping participants to identify technologies that have potential for commercialization.
Doctor Natalia Chamorro from the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN) group at ICMAB and the Chemistry Department at UAB, defend her PhD thesis entitled “Hybrid approach to obtain high-quality BaMO₃ perovskite nanocrystals for YBa₂Cu₃O7−δ superconducting nanocomposite” on Thursday, 14 January 2021 in an online session. Doctor Hailin Wang from the Superconducting Materials and Large Scale Nanostructures (SUMAN), and Advanced Characterization and Nanostructured Materials (ACNM) groups at ICMAB defended his PhD thesis entitled “Epitaxial growth of complex functional oxide thin films by green and sustainable chemical solution methods” on Tuesday, 15 December 2020. The PhD Thesis was supervised by Narcís Mestres (SUMAN group) and Benjamín Martínez (ACNM group). Congrats!
The 33rd International Symposium on Superconductivity (ISS) 2020 conference, organized by AIST Tsukuba (Japan) was held between 1 and 3 December 2020. Several SUMAN researchers from ICMAB participated in the conference with many contributions.
Dr. Pengmei Yu , former PhD student under the supervision of our researcher Mariona Coll defended her PhD thesis entitled “Atomic layer deposition: From molecular chemistry to functional oxide coatings” publicly on 24th November 2020 at ICMAB-CSIC meeting room by videoconference.
The Applied Superconductivity Conference 2020 conference awarded Artur Romanov, PhD researcher at our group, on 5 November 2020, the third prize in the materials section of the Student Paper Contest and additonally the Alexander Shikov memorial award for design and manufacturing of “LTS and HTS Conductors”.
Between October 23 and November 7 the Applied Superconductivity Conference 2020 was hold in virtual mode and a representation of SUMAN researchers has participated.
